近年来,多输入多输出(MIMO)系统的性能已经从理论上得到了很好的验证。通过在无线链路的两端引入一组多天线,MIMO系统在不增加传输带宽的情况下提高了无线系统的信道容量。本文研究了在实际的传播环境中,天线构型对MIMO系统的理论优化性能有多大的影响。为此,采用了TKK/SMARAD开发的基于测量的天线测试台(MEBAT)。所研究的天线配置是参考理想偶极子的组合。

在本文的第一部分中,介绍了MIMO系统的理论发展和用于研究的相关定义。第二部分介绍了MEBAT及其工作原理。接下来,还介绍了所考虑的参考天线以及不同场景的性能研究。最后,对研究结果进行了评估和分析。作为结论,可以指出的是,虽然MIMO系统提供了信道容量的改善,但在实际条件下获得的实验结果不如理论值乐观。

During the last years, the performance ofMultiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) systems has been well established fromthe theoretical point of view. By introducing a set of multiple antennas inboth ends of the link, MIMO systems provide an improvement of channel capacityof wireless systems without increasing the transmission bandwidth. This thesisstudies how close to the theoretical optimal performance of MIMO systems onecan get with antenna structures when used in realistic propagation environments.In order to do that, Measurement Based Antenna Test Bed (MEBAT), a tooldeveloped by TKK/SMARAD is used. The studied antenna configurations arecombinations of reference ideal dipoles. In the first part of the work, atheoretical development of MIMO systems and a definition of the magnitudes usedfor the study are presented. In the second part of the work, MEBAT and itsoperating principle are introduced. Next, the considered reference antennas andscenarios for the study of performance are also presented. In the last part ofthe work the results of the performance study are evaluated and analyzed. As aconclusion, it is possible to point that although MIMO systems provide animprovement of channel capacity, the values achieved in real conditions are notas optimistic as the theoretical ones.
