How to install a KDM theme
Install with KDM Theme Manager:
- Install KDM Theme Manager
- Gentoo: emerge kde-misc/kdmtheme
- Debian based distros: apt-get install kdmtheme
- Other: Download from: http://beta.smileaf.org/
- Open Control Center -> System Administration -> KDM Theme Manager
- Click Administrator Mode, enter root Password,
- enable Themes and choose...
- Restart KDE
- Have fun! :-)
Manual Install:
- Download and unzip the theme archive.
- Put the theme folder in /usr/kde/VERSION/share/apps/kdm/themes
- Edit /usr/kde/VERSION/share/config/kdm/kdmrc
- Change or add the line
- Theme=/usr/kde/VERSION/share/apps/kdm/themes/
- Make sure to have UseTheme=true
- Restart KDE
- Have fun! :-)
