Today encounter a problem when installing the virtual machine to record my troubleshooting steps to facilitate the newcomers.
Problem Description:
After the completion of the virtual machine configuration, the mirror system turn mount a virtual machine, the virtual machine error. Tip "This host cpu type does not support virtualization performance counters, open module VPMC operation failed, failed to start the virtual machine."
Steps:
- See this error message, my first thought when the physical machine virtual function is not enabled, so I restart the computer to enter the BIOS, find the virtual function of a physical machine is turned on.
- Looked at the error, I found "CPU type does not support virtualization performance counters." Enter edit the virtual machine configuration menu, click the "processor."
- The "virtual CPU performance counters" removed from the new virtual machine is turned on, the normal start.
