[Linux] [1] Windows system installed VMware virtual machine learning

Preface:

Linux server system, many companies are now using, especially large companies, so be sure to pay attention to it. Rent a cloud server, right, or to the money, however, may use the opportunity not many; under Windows systems and then install a Linux system, dual system will make the computer very slow, may last two environments collapse; so I chose install a virtual machine learning.

I was watching the video to learn to see the video there is a benefit to have a complete knowledge of the context in mind, the video was quite long, 1.25 times you can see:

A, Linux and Windows comparison

(1) from the user base for Linux is a developer-centric operating systems; and Windows based consumer-centric operating system, which is the operating system as two fundamentally different

(2) Linux command line powerful, but now they have a graphical interface, but are accessories; Windows contrary, powerful graphical interface, command line feature is accessories

(3) Linux is more stable, better performance, but a little higher learning costs; Windows and vice versa

Second, install VMware

I refer to the blog very detailed, step by step to be successful. I refer here to back up what will the blog's content.

Tips for the VMware virtual machine management software, there are two shortcut keys are very common.

Ctrl + G: the role of the input (mainly the keyboard and mouse) directed to the virtual machine, you can also click inside the virtual machine.

Ctrl + Alt: the role of the input is directed to the real machine, that is, the mouse and keyboard to return your computer.

1, VMware downloads

Note: If you are WinXP or 32-bit systems with version 10.x; 11.x version supports 64-bit or higher version of Win7 system after.

 2, install VMware Virtual Machine

(1) Open the VMware software, and then click on the main menu bar File → New virtual machine, the following window pops up, select the Typical option.

(2) Click Next, the following pop-up window, select "install the operating system later" option.

(3) Click Next, the following pop-up window will let you select the virtual machine operating system type and version you want to install, where to install Linux CentOS release system described as an example.

(4) Click Next, set the location to save the virtual machine and the virtual machine name. The name can easily take, save location, the default is stored in a directory of the C drive. But is not recommended on the C drive, it can be put into a directory (such as D: \ VMware Virtual Machines \ CentOS6.6) under the D drive, to facilitate later management.

(5) Click Next, set the maximum size of the virtual machine's hard disk space, the default is 20G, in general, 10G absolutely enough, so, here I choose Assign 10G hard disk space hard disk space as virtual machines. 20G here is not to say that a virtual machine installation will occupy too 20G of memory, it is the use of the process, the maximum limit is set to take up memory 20G.

(6) Click Next, pop up the following interface, complete the creation of a virtual machine. The interface has a "custom hardware" button, click it to set up the virtual machine hardware, but in general, the default hardware settings on it. If you need to change hardware settings, we can also create a complete virtual machine, set in a flexible virtual machine interface. So, here you can directly click Finish.

(7) virtual machine is created, you can see that we just created a good VMware virtual machine CentOS6.6 in the main interface.

(8) In this way, our virtual machine has been created. The virtual machine is equivalent to a real computer, but we do not have to install the operating system. Before installing the operating system, if necessary, we can flexibly change hardware settings for the virtual machine (such as: memory size, number of processors, network adapters, etc.). You can click on the main menu bar of the "Virtual Machine → Settings" to change it. You can also right to bring up the corresponding menu, click Settings, make changes.
