Google is applying the new operating system trademark "Pigweed"

Recently, users found that Google filed a new trademark to the USPTO (US Patent and Trademark Office) application entitled "Pigweed". According to the application content point of view, Pigweed trademark will cover "computer operating software."

However, the application did not disclose other details. Foreign media  9to5google  this name, for Pigweed conducted some research.

They found the first recorded mention of the fact Pigweed can be found from Fuchsia code. Before being captured and switch to "fuchsia", from the beginning of November, the proposed changes to the code directly references "Pigweed".

But beyond that, there is no conclusive evidence that Pigweed and Fuchsia projects directly related.
