On the open source platform and community Chromium, Microsoft has become second only to Google's biggest contributor. Recent proposals for the improvement of Chromium, Microsoft has brought two new scrolling features to Google Chrome browser and get a smoother, more comfortable scrolling experience on the Edge Chromium browser.
The first characteristic of a scroll called "percent-based scrolling" (based on the percentage of rolling) , allows the browser to scroll the mouse wheel or keyboard is expected to be construed as a percentage of the scroll bar, which means that after this feature is enabled scrolling experience will be more smooth.
Microsoft said it is working to transplant the outstanding characteristics of the classic version of the Edge to the Chromium browser platform, based on the percentage of a rolling just one of them. This feature has been on line Chrome Canary channel version, the user may be enabled by "Percent-based Scrolling" Flag.
Another scroll feature called "Windows-specific touch-initiated fling animation" (Windows fling unique touch to start the animation). The proposal has been approved, you can enable the Flag in Chrome Canary channel version.
Microsoft said after the Flag is enabled, can be like the classic version of the Edge and other local applications, like get rolling experience. Overall, the goal of this feature is to allow scrolling behavior becomes more smooth. Users can channel version of Chrome Canary "Enable experimental fling animation" Flag enable this feature.
