Chrome 78 Beta release, this change applies to the latest version of Chrome Beta version of Android, Chrome OS, Linux, MacOS and Windows, as follows:
CSS Properties and Values
CSS variables have a stronger support in the CSS Properties and Values API Level 1, use it, variables can be registered as a custom attribute, make sure that they are always a particular type.
Native File System
The new Native File System API (local file system API), currently an experimental feature that enables developers to build powerful Web applications to interact with the files on the user's local device, such as IDE, photos and video editor , text editors, etc. After users grant access, this API allows Web applications to directly read or save changes to files and folders on the user device. By calling it their own platform "Open and Save" dialog box to complete all of this work, following figure shows the Web page using the Open dialog box on the Mac calling.
SMS Receiver API
SMS sites use to verify the phone number, send a one-time password for manual input form. The machine provides a platform API, the API provides programmatic access to such messages, allowing the user to skip manual interaction with the form.
