RTX2080 Nvidia graphics driver installed under Ubuntu18.04.2

Not long ago, starting a blue sky P870TM1G barebones configuration is as follows:

1. Z370 Motherboard

2. i9-9900k desktop processors

3. RTX2080 Mobile

Since the graphics card too new reason to install Ubuntu16.04 time, I tried many versions, only 16.04.6 smooth installation, but failed to continue to install a variety of Nvidia graphics driver, heavy equipment 18.04.2 final version. And then try to install the graphics driver.

Typically in using the command sudo apt-get update, after sudo apt-get upgrade, you can see the drive options Additional drivers Software & Updates inside, or by command sudo ubuntu-drivers autoinstall can be installed, but the graphics RTX2080 too new, additional drivers can not be found inside the relevant drive, replaced by other software download sources will not help.

A method to find the next test, the successful installation, quite smooth, and quickly down for later use.

1. Update the apt-get source list

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get upgrade

2. Add the drive to the library and update

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:graphics-drivers/ppa

sudo apt-get update

This can be found in the Additional Drivers inside the corresponding drive options, and select the appropriate Nvidia driver, and then click Apply Changes, wait for the installation finished, click Restart.

After the restart input terminal: NVIDIA-Settings   you can see the information after the successful installation of the graphics card.

Enjoy it.
