In recent years, Chinese character recognition technology scene much in people's daily life concern, with a wealth of application scenarios, such as: camera translation, image retrieval, scene understanding and so on. But the text in this scene is also facing such problems, including changes in illumination, resolution, fonts, and arrangement of diversity, many kinds of Chinese characters and other complex situations. How to solve these problems has become a challenging task.
The competition provides a large-scale Chinese character recognition scene data, including 210,000 training set of photographs and 120,000 test sets picture. Data sets were collected from Chinese street by lines of text area (for example, shop signs, landmarks, etc.) cut made in the Street View image to. Each student using the flying pitch of lines of text in the image region prediction, returns the contents of the text lines. Fly paddle as the only fully functional domestic, open source and open depth learning platform for the players to provide a core set of deep learning framework, tools, components and services platform for one-stop service.
Since July 5, the contest officially open the whole of society, to support individuals or teams (no more than five) apply. The competition, regardless of preliminaries, semi-finals, the final ranking of the first individual or team will receive ¥ 15,000 dollars in prize money, the top ten teams have the opportunity to be invited to participate in the national roadshow held in the second half.
