VMware tools installation tool

After installing VMware tools greatest benefits are:

   1. Copy and paste text, graphics and files between the virtual machine and the host or client desktops

   2. The virtual machine can operate full-screen

 

Right in the virtual machine, select Install VMware tools, then open the CD-ROM in the virtual machine

Copy the "VMware tools-xxx-.tar.gz" file to the home directory

Go to the home directory, use the following command to decompress the file:

tar -zxvf 文件名

Decompression is completed with "ls" command to view, you will see produce a "vmware-tools-distrib" folder in your home directory.

With "cd vmware-tools-distrib" command to enter vmware-tools-distrib folder

cd vmware-tools-distrib

Then in the command line: "./ vmware-install.pl" command, you can be vmware tools installation (the installation process click "yes" to).

./vmware-install.pl

Sometimes there will be a variety of problems extracting installation, users can switch to the Root, the command: su root

After installation, full-screen virtual machine in vmware, and you can copy files and windows.
