Western Digital iNAND AT EM132 solution of e.MMC
iNAND AT EM132 of e.MMC solutions to meet the demand for storage solutions in the automotive market. This is the world's first 3D TLC's e.MMC program, its capacity can to 256Gbyte. The new microSD Express
西部数据展示的SD7.1的microSD Express的理论速度可以达到985M/s，通过这样子的设计，可以为未来的移动设备带来新的机遇，并且在PCIe跟NVMe接口的支持下，它可以获得未来几年之内推动设备创新的水平，引领SD技术的革命。在microSD Express的设计带来的速度可以做到传输大量数据所要求的需求。值得一提的是，microSD Express的外观与microSD相同，并可以向前兼容，而最大的一个特点在于速度。比较目前的卡跟microSD Express的区别，可以看到写的速度从104.7变成494.3，读的速度从178.9变到818.9，所以将近是5倍的速度。另外，在SD7.0的规范里面定了SDUC 的容量，可实现超大容量，容量从之前的2TB提升到了128TB。
西部数据与瑞萨电子的合作
媒体交流会同时，西部数据正在日本与瑞萨电子举办记者会。作为瑞萨电子R-Car2019年联盟论坛的赞助方，西部数据与瑞萨进行了联合的演示。在跟瑞萨合作伙伴密切合作之下，西部数据进行了兼容性的测试，希望可以达到缩短产品达到合格标准的时间。
短暂的介绍完毕后，西部数据全球高级副总裁兼中国区总经理Steven Craig、西部数据技术产品市场总监林哲仲对媒体提出的问题进行解答。
与所有主要品牌都有合作，已有产品在量产
关于iNAND AT EM132主要合作品牌和覆盖车型问题，林哲仲表示跟所有的主要品牌都有合作，不过今天提到的主要是跟在产业链生态系统方面伙伴的合作，Renesas在日本是最大的做汽车芯片、主控芯片的厂商，所以今天主要是在说跟他们的合作。跟客户的合作其实目前就有产品在量产，第二代e.MMC目前就有很多在量产的。第三代目前刚刚推出，通常汽车行业需要验证的时间比较长，所以可能几个月，一年、两年的都有。
汽车领域有非常多的应用都会用到e.MMC
关于产品在汽车领域的应用，林哲仲表示汽车领域有非常多的应用都会用到e.MMC，例如
相机或者自动驾驶车需要读取汽车目前状态，然后传到应该传的地方。或者假设自动驾驶有防撞系统，可能有一个传感器放在车子前面，在快撞上人时这个资料需要放到存储里面，然后去做应该有的判断跟行动。
每个汽车生成的数据量将超过1TB，大容量设计经过预估
对于目前汽车与自动驾驶应用是否有大容量需求，林哲仲表示目前每个汽车生成的数据量会超过1TB，这是目前的一个情况跟预估。现在看到有一些客户已经在做的项目其实都是大容量的，可能量产时间在2020年或2021年。也就是说今天可能还没有，但西部数据今天就已经看到两年之后甚至更久以后项目发展的情况，这也是为什么西部数据认为这一个时间点其实马上就要到了。
可根据不同应用的读写需求进行定制
对于西部数据是否有针对合作伙伴在汽车上不同的读写需求进行针对性提供，林哲仲表示为了针对这个问题，西部数据产品设计其中一个重点，就是一块e.MMC可以分成不同的区块。有的区块可以让它是写很多次，有的区块可以让它读很多次。以无人机为例，无人机是要录像同时又要有导航，地图一直在读，录像一直在写。无人机基本上只会有一个系统，那一个系统就是一个e.MMC，所以在一个e.MMC里面就要有好几个区块，比如这个区块让它可以有5,000次的写，这个区块可以在没有上电的情况底下可以存资料在里面很久。针对这样不同的需求，西部数据的产品可以让客户根据他的需求去定制。
microSD Express目前的容量是128GB，是速度限制了容量发展，还是综合价格性能的平衡？
对以上问题，林哲仲称：其实128GB只是我们今天的Demo，到正式发布的时候，应该会有几个不同的容量。当然价格是跟容量有关系，也需要看市场等等去决定。
外置的外接设备仍有大量需求

SD Express will not be more expensive?
About the price issue, Lin Zhezhong represent a complete ecosystem build the future, many people will do the card. SanDisk is not just Western or data, you'll see a lot of other brands of cards. When consumers more and more people accept the cards, more and more people to use this card, it will naturally be a more reasonable price, if has been a highbrow, it is certainly not a good price.
