Windows Terminal Preview 1.20 released

Windows Terminal Preview 1.20 is now available, the first preview version of 2024. Several changes were introduced, such as automatically deferring package updates when Windows Terminal is running, support for colorful and crazy line styles, changes to how search results are highlighted, and a host of usability updates and bug fixes.

Keep long-running tasks running

The Microsoft Store will now avoid updating Windows Terminal while in use. With some new enhancements from the Store team, Terminal has chosen not to automatically terminate updates for Windows versions. This behavior is not configurable, a move the project team believes will be better for users in the long run.
