Yuan Jinhui’s new company received another 50 million investment from Wang Huiwen and others

SiliconFlow announced that it has recently completed an angel round of financing of 50 million yuan. This round of financing was led by Sinovation Ventures, followed by well-known figures in the technology industry such as Yaotu Capital, Qiji Chuangtan, and Wang Huiwen. China Renaissance served as the exclusive financial advisor; the post-investment valuation is hundreds of millions of yuan.

Silicon-based flow is a new company established in August 2023 by Yuan Jinhui, founder of OneFlow and co-founder of Light Years Beyond. It is committed to building AI infrastructure (AI Infra) in the era of large models and reducing the application cost of large models. cost and development threshold, accelerating AGI to benefit mankind.

Yuan Jinhui said in an interview with "LatePost" that the new company will continue the direction of OneFlow and serve as the "framework" in the AI Infra (AI infrastructure) layer.

The AI framework is between the computing power layer and the model layer. It is a kind of system software. Just like a computer operating system that allows ordinary users to operate applications directly with the mouse and keyboard, the AI framework can help developers design or use models simply and conveniently. , without having to worry about the allocation of underlying computing resources.

The difference is that OneFlow was mainly a general training framework to serve the production of deep models; Silicon Flow focused on the inference framework to serve the application of large models.

Yuan Jinhui believes that it is easier to produce standardized products for service large model applications than for service large model production, and the market space is much larger: model production is staged and dominated by a few companies; large model applications will be spread across all walks of life and everywhere. It’s everywhere, needed by businesses of all industries and sizes.
