Pierluigi Siano 教授

IEEE Senior Member

University of Salerno, Italy

Pierluigi Siano is Full Professor of Power Systems and Scientific Director of the Smart Grids and Smart Cities Laboratory at the Department of Management and Innovation Systems at the University of Salerno. Since 2019, he has been named a Highly Cited Researcher by the ISI Web of Science Group. According to research by some researchers at Stanford University, it has been included in the rankings of 100,000 international scientists, belonging to different subject areas and having greater scientific influence. The survey was carried out by a group of researchers from Stanford University who, starting from the SCOPUS database containing lists of world scholars classified by scientific output, developed a composite indicator that takes into account all possible bibliometric parameters (h-index , number of publications, citations, journal relevance, departmental relevance, etc.) in order to produce a broader ranking focusing on the scientific relevance of scientists. Relevant to activities over the past 23 years. He is a full professor and scientific director of the Smart Grids and Smart Cities Laboratory in the Department of Management and Innovation Systems at the University of Salerno. His research focuses on demand response, integration of distributed energy resources in smart grids, and power system planning and management. He has published more than 450 papers, including more than 200 papers in international journals, which have been cited more than 7,600 times, and his h-index is 68.
