OpenTofu releases version candidate, GA scheduled for January 10th

OpenTofu v1.6.0-rc1 is now available, the final stage before the release of the first stable version. It is another fast version after the alpha version and beta version. The official version is expected to be officially released on January 10, 2024 (after the holiday).

This release includes several bug fixes, stability improvements, and documentation updates. Importantly, this release highlights the stability of the new public registry, which debuted in the v1.6.0-beta1 release three weeks ago.

December 20: Stable version candidate released. January 10, 2024: Officially released.

According to official data, as of December 18, OpenTofu has been downloaded more than 31,000 times, has 60 committers, and has received more than 1,000 pull requests and problem reports. In addition to the more than 36,200 GitHub stars declared in the project, the project's main repository has also accumulated 16,450 GitHub stars.
