WINDOWS 7-11 Disk Partition Tutorial

Foreword:

 Nowadays, many new computers, especially those with solid-state drives, often do not have very large memory. The default system provides a C drive (system) or an additional D drive (software disk). In order to better manage the files on our computer, we need to add one or more computer disks, such as a file disk specifically for files, a data disk specifically for data, etc. Windows also provides the disk partition function, which is the function of repartitioning the original storage hard disk into multiple disks. The operation is not complicated, the following is the operation tutorial.

Tutorial:

First, open the computer management interface

Taking Windows 11 as an example, enter "Computer Management Interface" in the taskbar search box and click to open.

Then select Storage->Disk Management

After getting here, we need to select a disk and compress the volume to separate some space. Prepare for the new partition.

Taking the E drive as an example, click on the E drive, right-click the mouse, select the compressed volume, and click

 Enter the storage space you want to compress. I entered 102400MB (1024*100), which is equal to 100G of storage space.

Then click the compress button below.

 Then the disk management will show 100G unallocated space.

Then select the unallocated space, right-click and select "New Simple Volume..."

 Click "Next"

 Modify the storage space size you want to partition (you don’t need to modify it). The maximum value is 102400MB (100G) that you separated from the previous operation, and then click Next.

 Select the driver number (you can use the one automatically given without modifying it), and then click Next

 Modify the volume label. If not modified, a new volume will be added by default. Click Next.

 After confirming that your setting information is correct, click Finish.

 Then there will be an additional partition of F drive (data)

 The tutorial is completed. It’s not easy to create. If you think it’s good, please like, collect and support it! ! !
