Today I want to think about which Linux distribution to choose as the main learning object.
So I read a lot of related articles on the Internet.
There are many well-written articles among them, and I will use this blog to record them.
People's time and energy are limited, and choosing a Linux distribution for long-term learning is as torturous as choosing which programming language to learn for a long time.
my choice
I decided to use Ubuntu primarily and other distro versions to a lesser extent.
Because Ubuntu has a desktop version and a server version, and I feel that the differences between Linux distributions are not very big.
It is very convenient to use vscode on the Ubuntu desktop version to practice Linux APIs. Moreover, when using the Ubuntu desktop version, you don’t need to use vscode on Windows or vs connect to an interface-less server through SSH, which is much more convenient.
When you want to practice without an interface, you can also use the Ubuntu server version.
In addition, I am also a newbie in Linux.
If there is something that Ubuntu does not have, use other Linux distributions temporarily.
