1. Download and install the online library software
First, of course, install cpolar and caliber. The download addresses for these two software are as follows:
Sometimes there will be a download error on caliber's website, but we can also find this software in 360 Software Manager and install it.
2. Network library server settings
After both cpolar and caliber are installed, we need to set up these two software to become kindle's library server. First is caliber. Open caliber's main interface, and we can find the "Connect/Share" option in the shortcut bar above the software's main interface. Click to see the option to "Start Content Server" and click to enable it.
Then we click the "Connect/Share" option again, and we will find that the IP address, port number and "http" of the local computer appear. This means that Caliber has become an e-book server that can be accessed by Kindle. Since there is no intranet penetration, we can only access caliber through the local LAN IP + port number ( http://192.168.XXX.XXX : 8080) mode, so caliber at this time can only be accessed by devices in the LAN.
If we want caliber installed on the local computer to be accessible to kindle on the public Internet, we also need to use cpolar to generate an intranet penetration data tunnel. Simply put, we give caliber a network address in http format.
3.Intranet penetration tool settings
First, we open the cpolar Web-UI interface. You can find the cpolar shortcut in the Windows Start menu, or you can enter it in the browser's address bar to localhost:9200directly open the cpolar Web-UI interface.
After entering the cpolar account password, we enter the cpolar main page. Here, we select the options “隧道管理”under the items on the left side of the main interface “创建隧道”. On “创建隧道”the page, we need to make several settings for the intranet penetration data tunnel we intend to establish.
First of all “隧道名称”, in order to facilitate us to identify the purpose of different tunnels, we named this tunnel “kindle”;
“协议”Select the next item “http”; fill in the subsequent "local address" with the port number displayed when caliber "content server" is enabled (in this example, the port number is 8080);
For the next item “域名类型”, we can choose "random domain name" (of course, if you are a VIP customer, you can choose a second-level subdomain name and a custom domain name to fix this data tunnel and avoid the problem of random domain names being reset every 24 hours) ;
Finally “地区”, just select the actual area of use.
After the above settings are completed, you can click the green button below “创建”to generate an intranet penetration data tunnel that can connect to the local caliber from the public Internet.
The entrance of this intranet penetration data tunnel (that is, the public Internet address) can be seen on the "Online Tunnel List" page under the "Status" item.
4. Use kindle on the public network to access the private library on the intranet
Finally, we can enter the public network address generated by cpolar for the local caliber port in the Kindle web browser, directly connect to caliber on the LAN computer, and retrieve our favorite books.
Of course, in this example we use a random domain name mode, so the address connecting to the local caliber will change every 24 hours, but we can fix the second-level subdomain name or use a custom domain name to connect the address to the local computer caliber. The network penetration data tunnel is fixed so that it can exist stably for a long time and even be used for commercial purposes.
Kindle has played an important role in promoting e-book reading, providing people with a convenient, lightweight and large-capacity reading method. It changes people's reading habits and brings more choices and convenience to readers. At the same time, the launch of Kindle also stimulated the development of the entire e-book market, allowing more people to come into contact with and use e-books.
