Build a private kindle library, and achieve public network access through intranet penetration
In the period when e-books were popular, most people bought an e-book. Although this e-book was more often left on the storage shelf to eat ashes, or became an artifact for covering instant noodles, when Amazon released The news that the service of e-books in China will be abandoned is still somewhat regrettable. After all, no one wants a kindle that is hundreds of dollars larger, and can only be used to cover instant noodles in the end. In fact, we can use the combination of cpolar and caliber to build our own private library server, so that we can store the e-books we want to read without having to rely on Amazon's library. To build a private library, we need the support of caliber and cpolar software, the download addresses of these two software are as follows:
Among them, caliber can also be searched in the 360 software housekeeper. The author chose to use the 360 software housekeeper to install it directly on the local computer.
After the caliber installation is complete, we find and click the "Connect/Share" button above the main interface to open caliber's "content server"
Here, we can see several key information, including the output port of the caliber web page, which is port 8080 by default, and the link of the caliber web page. We can click the "Visit Content server in browser" option to open the web page.
After obtaining the output port number of caliber, we can use cpolar to create an intranet penetration data tunnel that can connect to the local caliber software. But to establish this data tunnel, we need to log in to the cpolar cloud first, and reserve a blank second-level subdomain data tunnel.
After the blank data tunnel is reserved in the cpolar cloud, we can switch back to the cpolar client and connect this blank data tunnel with the local caliber. After returning to the local cpolar client, we can set it on the "Create Tunnel" page under the "Tunnel Management" item.
After the tunnel is created, we can click "Online Tunnel List" under the "Status" item on the left, and find the public Internet address that can connect to the local caliber library on the "Online Tunnel List" page.
We can either enter this URL through a computer browser, or enter this URL in the kindle browser to access the kindle library on the local computer.
So far, the private kindle library we have built is complete. Even if Amazon terminates the kindle library service, we can update new books through caliber without letting the kindle become an instant noodle artifact. Of course, using cpolar to build a Kindle personal library is only one application scenario of cpolar's intranet penetration function, and the data tunnel created by cpolar can also be applied in more scenarios.
