A blank file appears on the Windows 10 desktop and cannot be deleted or refreshed.

Problem Description

An unnamed blank file appears on the Windows 10 desktop. I can only right-click (Delete, Create Shortcut, Delete) to delete the file. If I refresh the desktop again, the file will still appear. The reason is related to the installed windows office xx version. I installed the 2021 version.

Solution:

Go to the registry and delete the two keys without value:

1) Type regedit in the search and enter the registry

2) Find the path:

计算机\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace

There are two keys without any value:

138508BC-1E03-49EA-9C8F-EA9E1D05D65D
0875DCB6-C686-4243-9432-ADCCF0B9F2D7

3) Select the corresponding "IMEI" in the left column to delete it.
