Recently, when I opened Source Insight, it kept crashing and I couldn't use it at all. I found a lot of methods on the Internet but couldn't solve it, and reinstalling didn't solve it either. In desperation, I found some alternative tools, but I was not used to them. I didn't give up and continued to look for a solution. I found that it ran OK when the network cable was unplugged, but not after plugging in the network cable. The perfect solution was solved by referring to the method of netizens. I hereby record it and share it to help students who also encounter this problem.
Method 1: Turn off automatic updates
With the network turned off, open the software, Options-->Preferences...
Uncheck Automatically check for updates and click OK. It doesn't crash anymore when plugged into the internet.
Method 2: Firewall restricts Source Insight outbound
Go to the next step, fill in a name, and when done, you can see that the outbound rules have the newly added rules. Open it again, no more crashes.
