Solution to the problem that the IDEA cursor turns into a thick white bar

1. Problem

As shown in the figure below: the cursor turns into a thick white block.

2. The cause of the problem

Accidentally pressed the Insert key, entered the overwrite mode, and the cursor became thicker

Overwrite mode: the input will overwrite the original characters

Normal mode: the input will not be overwritten, and the input will continue after the original character

3. Solution

• Method 1. Press the Insert button

• Method 2, shortcut key Shift + 0 (ps: number 0)

After that, the problem is solved and it returns to normal
