Microsoft starts testing "Moment4" startup package: Win11 23H2 is coming

Recently, some users found in the latest July cumulative update of Win11 that references to "Moment4" have begun to appear in the update file.

Specifically, in the July cumulative update, Microsoft added the enabling packages of "Microsoft-Windows-UpdateTargeting-ClientOS-SV2Moment4-EKB" and "Microsoft-Windows-23H2Enablement-Package".

A similar situation once appeared in Windows 10 Build 19045.

This means that Win11 currently only needs a small startup package to officially enable many new features in the 23H2 version.

At present, the version number of Win11 preview version has entered 23H2, and has added new features including optimized file explorer, native support for RAR and other compression formats.

At the same time, Microsoft plans to add more new features to the preview version in the next few weeks to test its stability.

If all goes well, the major version update of Win11 23H2 will be pushed to all Win11 users this fall.
