Innovative projects, dedicated service | Lingen customers personally tell "the story of Lingen and me"

Protagonist profile

Wu Chong, head of the strawberry team of Shandong Fruit Tree Research Institute, associate researcher, mainly engaged in the research of strawberry new variety selection, seedling breeding and cultivation technology, presided over 3 provincial and ministerial scientific research projects, and published papers as the first author or corresponding author More than 30 papers, including 8 SCI papers, 3 authorized invention patents, and 1 major technology promotion in Shandong Province.

Unity Introduction: The strawberry team of Shandong Fruit Tree Research Institute currently has 5 professional and technical personnel, including 1 high-level talent introduced from overseas and 4 doctors. Mainly engaged in the breeding of new strawberry varieties, breeding of high-quality seedlings, high-efficiency cultivation, and research on green prevention and control of pests and diseases.

Our team has been engaged in the research of strawberry germplasm resources. We have collected and preserved more than 100 wild and cultivated strawberry germplasm resources at home and abroad, and selected three excellent strains of strawberry. In the process of germplasm collection in the early stage, we found that the survival rate of strawberry was very low due to lack of water and drought in many areas. Therefore, the related research on drought-resistant strawberry has become an important part of our research group.

But there is a key issue is how to accurately achieve the consistent control of strawberry growth environment and the accurate collection of relevant physiological phenotype data - this is a key issue for our research on strawberry drought resistance - members of our group have consulted a large number of Data, tried various methods, consulted many technology companies, but failed to come up with a suitable solution, and the subject was repeatedly shelved.

Coincidentally, just when we were sad that this topic selection could not be strictly implemented, Lynn Biologics' sales manager Qi Wenshan and sales engineer Zhang Jiankang came to our unit to promote products. Because the unit has cooperated with Lingen more, we always thought that Lingen Biotech was only a company engaged in high-throughput sequencing technology services, but this time, a special project of the PlantArray plant physiology group platform was added to the product information they distributed. piqued our curiosity.

Manager Qi said that the PlantArray plant physiology group platform is an advanced technology platform introduced by Lingen Biology from Israel. It is specially used for 24h uninterrupted real-time monitoring of plant physiological data. It can simultaneously monitor regulation and control through feedback irrigation technology and multiple high-precision sensors. Measure a large number of plant samples to detect the functional growth and productivity parameters of each plant under different abiotic and soil conditions. Quantitative physiological characteristics such as plant growth rate, water use efficiency or transpiration can be accurately measured and evaluated, which can be efficiently Carry out research on stress types in harsh environments.

This just coincides with our project needs.

Manager Qi also introduced that this set of equipment is used in a very harsh environment and requires a high-profile greenhouse. However, in order to meet the actual needs and conditions of most research groups in China, they cooperated with Israel to establish the China-Israel Plant Physiology Group Joint Research Center. In this way, teachers who need it can directly obtain the experimental data of the observation without purchasing equipment and preparing the greenhouse themselves -this is really a good choice for us.

However, because this is the first study of this kind to be attempted, we don't know exactly what the effects will be. For the sake of caution, I first selected a variety to do a drought physiological group experiment.

Real-time shooting-Strawberry stress resistance research carried out by the Plant Physiology Group Research Center

Pre-experimental attempts, the results obtained are very beautiful, and the content of the data report is exactly what we want. So the project, which had been shelved for a long time, started immediately. Before the official start of the project, the technical support of Lingen Biology communicated with us many times, and gave us detailed project suggestions and plan details. This early communication in place also gave us a deeper understanding and anticipation of the project details. sentenced . Using the three optimized strains of strawberry, combined with the PlantArray physiological platform and transcriptome sequencing technology, the team efficiently completed the research on the tolerance of different strawberry strains to drought stress and the changes in physiological indicators during the process, and determined The key time points of the stress resistance process were identified, and the gene expression changes of strawberry plants under drought stress were studied.

The output of the results was very smooth, and the article was completed and published in a very short time.

Thanks to this pleasant cooperation with Lingen Biotech, we can rest assured to hand over our follow-up diversity projects and transcriptome projects to them. Time also proves our choice-no matter what the project is, the Lingen team is very attentive, responds in a timely manner and is serious and responsible, the experimental cycle of the project is also fast, the results are accurate, and the after-sales service is also in place, which greatly helps research projects of our team.

Lingen Biotech has indeed put a lot of effort into the innovation, improvement and optimization of the project, and because of this, let us see that Lingen Biotech may have more options besides sequencing. We look forward to further in-depth cooperation with Lingen Biotech, publishing more and better results, and achieving a win-win situation.
