Ubuntu uses the Disks graphical tool to mount a new disk

Step 1 Disks tool

Search for the Disks software that comes with the Ubuntu system

Step 2 Format

Open GUI

Click the gear button to format the disk

Give the disk a name, such as satadisk

Click the next button, click Format to start formatting

Step 3 mount

mount disk

Our goal is to directly access this new disk under the home folder. First create a new folder under your home, with the same name as the new disk, such as /home/wu/satadisk

focus, focus, focus

Note that this step cannot be omitted, otherwise it will be automatically hung under Media instead of the home path

Click edit mount options

Close Defaults
and set the mount point as /home/wu/satadisk

After the setup is complete, click the triangular mount button (don't forget)

Then generate a satadisk icon file under the /home/wu/ path, indicating that the mount is successful
