QNAP NAS (QNAP) uses HybridMount to mount Baidu cloud network disk

QNAP has not supported mounting Baidu cloud network disk before, but recently updated HybridMount version 1.9.3761 and found that it already supports it! The following briefly introduces its setup process.

Function introduction : After completing the settings, you can access your Baidu cloud account from QNAP’s File Station, and you can also access the storage on other devices connected through network protocols such as SMB, NFS, AFP, and FTP.

1. Click Create File Cloud Gateway

2. Complete some settings

I tried the target folder, and currently I can only select "All Folders". If I select "Single Folder" and "Multiple Folders", it cannot be selected in the next two lists.

Here I update the file list every 6 minutes for a two-way synchronization, which can be flexibly adjusted according to individual needs.

3. Set the cache space

Here I have selected "Disable automatic download", which will download only when the file is accessed, thereby reducing the storage space occupied.

Just wait for it to complete.

If you want to modify some settings later, you can enter here.

If you want to sync files immediately, just click "Update File List".

4. Effect display

After the setting is complete, you can see a folder named "My Application Data" appears in Baidu Netdisk. Open the folder on the right, which is the shared space between the NAS and Baidu Cloud!

Baidu Netdisk does not open all root directory permissions to third parties, so there is only this one folder, but you can achieve the goal by moving and copying files in Baidu Netdisk, anyway, it is transmitted in seconds.

And the synchronization space of Baidu cloud disk also appeared in the File Station on the NAS!

It can also be mounted locally using the SMB protocol, and used as a cost site!

Next, let's test it and save a movie to Baidu cloud disk. It can be seen that the same file also appears on the NAS, and it does not take up space on the NAS at this time. If you click on the file to access it at this time, the file will be downloaded to the NAS.

V. Summary

Personally, I am quite satisfied with the update of HybridMount this time, which fulfills the need to mount the Baidu network disk to the local. You can store the desired material in a sync folder so that you can access it.

Of course, it is a pity that not all directories can be synchronized, only one synchronization folder can be set. Of course, this is also an advantage, separating the data between applications and storing them on demand.

If you like it, you can pay attention to it, and I will share more tips on using NAS in the future~~
