How to apply calculus in primary school teaching

Calculus isn't a high priority in elementary school, it's usually taught in high school or college. However, the ideas and principles of calculus can be taught inspiringly through related mathematical concepts at the primary school stage. If students have a preliminary understanding of the ideas of calculus, it will be easier to understand when they learn calculus in the future. For example, an understanding of functions and a brief introduction to the concept of derivatives of functions can be taught at the elementary school level.
