There may be many reasons why the mobile hard disk cannot be recognized on the Mac. In most cases, the format of the hard disk is not compatible with the Mac computer.
Incompatible file system format
The file system used by macOS is HFS+ or APFS. If the mobile hard disk is formatted with Windows system, such as NTFS, then the Mac may not be able to write to the hard disk.
At this point, you can format it into a format supported by the Mac system, or install third-party reading and writing software to read and write NTFS formatted hard drives on the Mac.

Be careful when using NTFS assistant
Please eject the hard disk safely after using the mobile hard disk/U disk every time, and do not pull out the disk directly; directly pulling out the disk will cause damage to the hard disk or even data loss.
