Front-end internship experience sharing for junior students

First of all, this is not an article about technology or knowledge, but an article about sharing experience with students like me who have just entered the workplace or are about to enter the workplace.

I didn't update the article in June, because I was preparing for the final exam in early June, and then I joined an Internet factory on June 8 and started an internship. It was just a month since I joined the job yesterday. Let's talk about my feelings after entering the workplace this month. Share a few points of my personal experience, and tell everyone how to have a better and more efficient internship!

1. Be proactive

On the first day of entering the company, just a few minutes after I sat down, a front-end intern across from me suddenly asked me, "Why did you come to this company for an internship?" Okay", and then he said that this company loves to dismiss interns very much, and I got a whole HOLY SHIT! Then he said that they had five or six front-end interns before, and now four of them have been persuaded to quit, leaving only the two of them. Then that afternoon, the intern who talked to me voluntarily resigned. He said he had never seen a company treat interns like this, and quit. Then I learned about this situation. A few days ago, I was really afraid that I would also be fired. Being fired for the first time when I came out of work, it might really hit me hard.

(ps: Our company is quite big, with more than 30,000 people in branches all over the country, but our department is newly established in the company, and it may be less than a year since it was established, so we have been recruiting people, and then we will leave if we fail to meet the requirements. Persuade dismissal, but this is mainly the case with interns, regular employees are rarely dismissed)

I didn’t do anything on the first day, and the front-end leader of our department asked me to create a page from the second day. I asked the intern who resigned in the past, and said that if the test is not done well, there is a high probability of being resigned. But to be honest, this page is not too difficult. I worked for half a day and it was done. Then it was the weekend, and I started to join the project team in the second week.

There was a meeting on Monday to discuss the rectification plan for the project. I was completely confused and couldn't understand what they were talking about, and the company would not arrange someone to tell you about the project. So, in those two days, I kept asking other employees, and then I started to get started, and then I did it very quickly (but to be honest, I feel that the effect is mediocre), but I will take the initiative after I finish I went to ask my leader, and I said that I have finished the task assigned to me, is there any other place that needs to be changed.

I think this may be the reason, so I can still stay until now, when I work overtime on Saturday of the second week (rarely work overtime on weekends, just that one time), my front-end leader invited us to drink coffee (he is really nice , I like him so much), on the way, he asked me if I would still go to class next semester, I said there would be no class next semester, and he said, "Then you will always be here as an intern", I was very happy at that time, and I wondered if it was me I won't be dismissed, and it turns out that I still stay here until now.

Therefore, don’t be afraid of poor skills or being dismissed as an intern for college students. As long as you do your job seriously, you won’t ask too many questions. After you’re done, actively ask the leader if there is anything else that needs to be done, and take the initiative to take on the task. Learning more in the company now is definitely good for future career development.

2. There is no shame in being afraid, but it is shameful not to act because you are afraid

Mr. Yang Jiang said that most people live a bad life because they think too much and do too little.

Sometimes I will receive some tasks that I don’t know how to do, and I also worry that I will not do well, worrying that I won’t do it at all, but when I accept tasks, I don’t say “I can’t”, but I say “I can’t” You can try it." study! No shame! If you don't know how to learn , if you really don't have enough time to complete the task within the specified period, you can ask more questions. I often ask questions about my technical leader, and I also ask some regular employees next to me. I have to say that everyone is very kind and gentle. , don't be afraid, and don't be embarrassed to ask, if you don't know it, you don't know it, don't pretend to understand, the internship is to learn something.

So turn "I won't" into "I will try" , and you will find that you can learn something, especially exercise your learning ability and information search ability.

For the time being, I only think of these two points that I think are the most useful. The others should be some social etiquette. Everyone should say "thank you", "please", and "you". If any students who are about to join the job have any questions, you can ask me in the comments, and I will reply to everyone.
