Remote desktop control of home computer

Remote desktop control of home computer

As one of the indispensable electronic devices in modern families, computers have long been popularized in the majority of families. Not only young people need to use computers in their work and life, but parents in their hometown are also familiar with and use computers. But when we are working in other places, we always encounter situations where our parents at home complain that the computer is stuck, slow, and not easy to use, but there is nothing we can do about it in a foreign country. But now, through the TCP-IP data tunnel established by cpolar, we can operate the computers in our hometown across thousands of miles.

As a powerful, safe and efficient intranet penetration software, Cpolar can penetrate the internal LAN restrictions, remotely connect to intranet computers, and publish intranet computer data (including web pages) to the public Internet. With the remote desktop software that comes with the Windows system, we can easily connect to the computer at home for repairs and settings.

First of all, we need to install a cpolar client on the computer in our hometown, just download the client from the cpolar official website (in order to use the functions of cpolar normally, you also need to register as a cpolar user). After the download is complete, click the .msi file in the compressed package to automatically install it.

After the software installation is complete, we first stay on the cpolar official website page and set up a blank data tunnel that can be retained for a long time, laying a solid foundation for our future settings. The steps to set up a blank data tunnel are also very simple, as long as you click the "Reserve" button on the left side of the cpolar workbench page. On the reservation page, find the "Reserved TCP Address" field. Here you need to fill in two basic data tunnel information. In the region field, we choose the actual use region; and in the description, you can fill in the purpose of this data tunnel. Here we fill in "home computer connection". After filling in the information, you can click the "Reserve" button on the right side of the field to save the empty packet data tunnel, so as to obtain the address of the long-term stable data tunnel.

Then we switch back to the cpolar client (in the address bar of the local computer browser, enter localhost:9200 and visit to open the Web-UI interface of the cpolar client), and enter the account password on the login page to enter the cpolar client. Here, we click the "Create Tunnel" function under the "Tunnel Management" item on the left to set the exit of the previously established blank data tunnel. Among them, "Tunnel Name" we can continue to use the old computer connection, the protocol in the drop-down menu to select the TCP protocol, the local address to fill in the intranet port that needs to be mapped, such as remote desktop in this example, fill in the port number of the remote desktop 3389, the domain name type we choose a fixed TCP port, and the reserved TCP address is the address obtained from the official website of cpolar. After completing these settings, click the "Create" button below to fix the data tunnel exit.

At this point, the TCP-IP data tunnel that can connect to the home computer is created. We can click the "Online Tunnel List" button under the "Status" item on the left to view the address of the home computer on the public network. And this address is also the address where we remotely operate the home computer on another computer.

After the data tunnel is set up, we can try to connect. But just in case, you need to make sure that the remote desktop switch of the home computer is turned on. Just find the "Remote Desktop" item in the "Settings" of the start menu. If it is not turned on, just move the cursor to the "on" position.

Finally, we open the "Remote Desktop" software that comes with the system on another computer, fill in the public network address we obtained from the cpolar client into the "Computer" column, and click the "Connect" button below to easily perform remote operations on the computer at home.

Through a few simple steps of setting, we successfully connected to the computer in the hometown with the minimum software requirements, and can also solve the problems that parents encountered when using the computer in the hometown more conveniently and quickly. Of course, using the cpolar data tunnel and intranet penetration to connect to the home computer is only one of the many application scenarios of cpolar. If you have any questions about the use of cpolar, please contact us, and we will provide you with assistance within our capabilities. Of course, you are also welcome to join the VIP official group of cpolar to explore the unlimited potential of cpolar together.
