The fire protection of various government departments jointly conducted a large-scale fire inspection on the production plant of a certain enterprise. As a first-class fire engineer, I personally participated in this inspection and will record it in detail.
First of all, we came to the fire control room, which is the fire command center of the entire production plant. Here, we have seen the monitoring screens of various fire-fighting equipment, including fire alarm controller, fire linkage controller, fire radio telephone, fire liquid level display, etc. The operating status of all equipment can be seen at a glance here.
Then, we began to check the fire hydrants inside and outside one by one. During the inspection, we found that there were leaks at the joints of several indoor fire hydrants. We immediately notified the plant maintenance personnel to replace and repair as soon as possible, and arranged personnel in the fire control room to monitor in real time.
Then we came to the control room of the two sets of fire pumps. A set of automatic water pump and power switching system is installed here, which can automatically switch to the backup water pump when a group of water pumps fails. We have carried out a detailed inspection of this system, tested the operation of the main and standby pumps, and tested the operation of the alarm valve, and found that its function is basically intact, which can ensure the uninterrupted fire water source of the production plant when needed.
Next, we came to the factory building to check the safe evacuation of the factory building and the situation of the rescue windows. Here we check the status of all escape routes and rescue windows. We found that some windows were fixed because they had not been used for a long time, and the evacuation door was not set properly. The location needs to be rectified this week to develop a better safety evacuation plan.
Throughout the plant, many warning signs have been set up, including how to use fire extinguishers, no smoking and so on. The setting of these signs is very eye-catching, which can effectively remind the staff to pay attention to safety.
When it was over, I went to the checkpoint where the security functions were monitored. Here, we checked the status of all surveillance cameras and looked to see if fire control equipment was restored. All equipment can work normally, and can record various situations in the factory building in time.
During the entire inspection process, some problems were found and dealt with in time, and some problems need to be rectified as soon as possible. Through this inspection, I have a deeper understanding of the fire protection equipment and safety conditions of the production plant, and will further improve the company's fire safety management.
