For students, the problems posed by AI may be even more complex. You may have to make some adjustments in your choice of major and course selection. If the career path you have chosen before will significantly reduce the business volume and job demand will decrease with the development of AI, it is recommended that you make adjustments as soon as possible to prevent your own great youth from sinking with a shrinking sunset industry. Conversely, if your major can be closely integrated with the development of AI, then you will be like taking an elevator and quickly achieve many achievements that you have never imagined.
In the era of AI, how should college students or professionals use their spare time to recharge? In the past, we often chose to pursue the improvement of professional skills and stand out by our own hard power. For example, students go all out to memorize words, and professionals learn programming quietly. But right now, if you don't understand new advances in AI capabilities, the traditional path may not help you. Because you are proud of your extensive knowledge and practical experience, it may become vulnerable under the combination of other ordinary people and AI. You may have memorized words for a long time, and you know every word, but you still cannot express your meaning clearly when translating Chinese papers into English as a whole. But your colleague may not have memorized a word, but he knows which excellent tool to use for translation, so he handed over an impressive translation in an instant. How can this be so embarrassing?
We need to make good use of the opportunities brought by AI, and invest precious time and resources in places where we can really use our strengths to gain a greater competitive advantage.
