installation steps

The optimization of foreign software for Chinese is not in place, and the installation interface will display garbled characters. If you are interested, follow the steps below to install:

1) Download the corresponding installation package from the official website.

2) Select the option on the left.

3) If you need to install to a specified folder, select "1" to change, and then click "2" to confirm.

If it is installed to the default folder, just click "2".

Note that the installation folder you set up is best named in English, and ensure that its parent folder is also in English.

4) The first check box is to choose whether or not to let ditto boot automatically, and you don’t need to choose if you are not a text worker.

The second check box is whether to add ditto to the white list of the computer firewall, or not.

Then click on the option marked in red below.

5) The installation of ditto is complete, click the button below to exit the installation and start ditto.

Note: In fact, it can be seen that it will automatically select the "Next" option at each step of the installation, just keep pressing the button it selects.

6) After ditto starts, an icon will be displayed on the taskbar.

7) Right-click the "icon" to see some related introductions and data, and you can see that most of the options have been finished.

8) How to use it? We only need to copy normally. When you want to paste a previously copied option, press the "shortcut key Ctrl+~" to display ditto's clipboard interface.

Here you can choose the content you want to paste, and support search, edit, delete and other functions.

Other functions:

1) You can use the up and down arrows to select, and then press Enter to paste.

2) You can drag a piece of content you want to paste to any position and paste it, which is more flexible.

3) You can press and hold the blank part on the right side of the pasteboard and drag it to your favorite position.

4) When you don't want to save the copied content to ditto's clipboard, you can choose to disconnect the clipboard.

Habits about using computers

First of all, we must clarify the purpose of cultivating good habits, and then determine what kind of habits we want to cultivate.

We develop the habit of exercising for a good body, and the habit of learning is to become a better version of ourselves.

Why do researchers develop good habits of using computers? Most of them are for efficient study and office work.

So what habits can make us study and work efficiently? For me, there are the following:

save! save! save!

Whether it is doing PPT, writing a thesis, or analyzing data, there will be a probability that the software will suddenly crash and freeze. In this case, the first thing to do is to rely on automatic saving, and the second is to manually save.

Automatic saving: Take Word as an example, we select "File" → "Options" → "Save" → "Save Automatic Information Recovery Interval" at the top right and set it to 1 minute.

Remember the folder where the files are automatically recovered or set it to a folder that you can find quickly.

Manually save: "Shortcut key Ctrl+S".

Whether you are tired, want to play with your mobile phone, have stagnated thinking, want to go to the bathroom, the teacher is looking for you, or you have not pressed any other keys, you can just press "Ctrl+S";

back up! back up! back up!

In addition to software crashes, computer hardware and systems may also die suddenly. No matter how often you save, you will be expelled directly.

Therefore, you cannot put all your eggs in one basket, invest all your money in one fund, and put files on only one device.

There are many softwares for multi-platform synchronization. Nut Cloud is small and fast, while Baidu Cloud has rich functions and larger capacity. The key is to develop an awareness of synchronization.

Double naming! Double naming! Double naming!

Just developing the habit of saving and synchronizing is just laying the foundation for efficient office work. No matter how much time you have and how much energy you have, when faced with new folders (1) (2) (3) ( 4) ...both crash.

It is recommended to find a way to quickly name files and folders for yourself. Even the simplest date + subject (6.30 Computer Habits) is much better than nothing.

Of course, we also have some bad computer usage habits, you can pay attention to it later:

Do not default to the C drive, but create a software drive specifically.

If you don’t use it for a short period of time in daily office work, remember to put the computer in a sleep or hibernate state; if you don’t use it for a long time, remember to shut it down in time.

You can use synchronized Baidu Cloud, Nut Cloud or other synchronization software, otherwise you may have to use a USB flash drive to copy back and forth.

Of course, friends can also consider using office365 to automatically save materials to onedrive.

However, there may be certain charging problems. For example, you can buy a genuine home version serial number for about 220 yuan, which can be used by 6 people. The personal account is independent, and each person can activate 5 devices.
