Dameng database management system is a completely localized database system developed by Wuhan Dameng Company. The current highest version of Dameng database is DM8

1. After downloading, decompress the image package, double-click to run the setup.exe installation program, and directly click the OK button to continue the installation.
2. During installation: License accepted. Continue to the next step, you can skip the link of verifying the key file, just click Next. as the picture shows.
3. Select the installation components, and the typical installation is done by default. Next step
4. Select the installation directory and choose according to your needs. The installation takes up about 1G of memory
5. Click the directory to confirm, and then click Install. The installation process will take 1-2 minutes
6. After the installation is complete, start initialization
7. Choose to create a database instance, and click Start to proceed to the next step.
8. Create a database template, select general purpose, and click Next
9. Specify the directory where the database is located
11. Database representation: Enter the database name, instance name, port number and other parameters. then the next step
12. Database file, default configuration, click Next
13. Initialize parameters, click Next
14. Password management, default configuration, the default password is consistent with the login name, click Next to create a sample library. Both need to be checked, as shown in the figure.
15. Create a summary. Before installing the database, the relevant parameters set by the user through the database configuration tool will be displayed. Click Finish to initialize. as the picture shows
16. After the installation is complete, find the DM management tool in the menu and double-click to connect to the database
17. Password input default password: SYSDBA
20. As shown in the figure, the connection is successful.
