After the download is complete, we unzip the image package, double-click to run the [setup.exe] installation program, please select the corresponding language and time zone according to the system configuration, and we directly click the OK button to continue the installation. As shown below:

2. Installation wizard

Welcome to the guide page, we click the Next button to continue the installation, as shown in the following figure:

3. License agreement

Before installing and using the DM database, users are required to read and accept the license agreement, we click to accept directly , and then the next step is shown in the figure below:

4. Verify the Key file

The link of verifying the Key file can be skipped. If there is no Key file, click [Next]. If so, click the [Browse] button, select the Key file, the installation program will automatically verify the validity of the Key file, click [Next] to continue the installation, we do not have a key here, just click Next , as shown in the figure below:

5. Select the installation components

The DM installer provides four installation methods: "Typical Installation", "Server Installation", "Client Installation" and "Custom Installation". Here we choose [Typical Installation] by default to install all, including server and client , drivers, manuals, registration services and tools, etc., and then the next step , as shown in the figure below:

6. Select the installation directory

Select the installation directory and choose according to your needs. I installed it under the dmdbs of the F disk, and then go to the next step , as shown in the following figure:

7. Directory Confirmation

To confirm the message, we can directly click Confirm, as shown in the following figure:

8. Start the installation

We directly click the install button to start installing Dameng database, as shown in the figure below:

9. Installation process

The installation will take about 1~2 minutes, as shown in the figure below:

10. The installation is complete

After the database installation is complete, we choose to initialize the database, as shown in the following figure:

11. Create a database instance

Here we select [Create Database Instance], click Start to enter the next step, as shown in the following figure:

12. Create a database template

Here we select [General Purpose], and then proceed to the next step, as shown in the figure below:

13. Database directory

The directory where our database is located is F:\java\dmdbs\db, and then the next step , as shown in the figure below

14. Database identification

Enter the database name, instance name, port number and other parameters, and then go to the next step , as shown in the figure below:

15. Database files

Here we can configure by default, the next step , as shown in the following figure:

16. Initialization parameters

Here we can configure by default, the next step , as shown in the following figure:

17. Password management

Here we can configure it by default. The default password is the same as the login name . The next step is as shown in the following figure:

18. Create a sample library

Here we check to create a sample library BOOKSHOP or DMHR, as a test environment, the next step, as shown in the following figure:

19. Create a summary

Before installing the database, the relevant parameters set by the user through the database configuration tool will be displayed. Click [Finish] to initialize the database instance, as shown in the following figure:

20. The installation is complete

The database is created successfully, we can click Finish , as shown in the following figure:
