On October 19, Apple pushed the iOS 16.1 RC version update to iPhone users, with an internal version number of 20B79.

According to Apple's official update log, iOS 16.1 RC mainly brings users iCloud shared photo library, which can realize family photo sharing and keep updated. The update also adds support for third-party apps in live events, and includes additional features and bug fixes for iPhones.

iCloud shared photo library
A separate gallery lets you seamlessly share photos and videos with up to five other users
Set up rules to easily provide past photos based on start date or who is in the photo when setting up or adding to your gallery
Quickly switch between shared gallery, personal gallery, or both through gallery filters
Shared edits and permissions allow everyone to add, edit, favorite, delete photos and add captions
The Share switch in the Camera allows you to send photos you take directly to the shared gallery, or enable the Automatically share photos setting when other participants are detected nearby via Bluetooth
live event
Live activity from third-party apps is now available on iPhone 14 Pro models' Live Island and Lock screen

This iOS 16.1RC version update provides important security updates, and Apple recommends that all users install it.
Method 1 : You can install the iOS 16 test version description file on the device (follow Fengke Software’s WeChat official account, reply “iOS 16” to get it, open and download the description file through the Safari browser, and go to [Settings]-[General] - Install the description file in [Description File]), restart the phone after installation, and then go to [Settings]-[General]-[Check for Updates].
Method 2 : You can upgrade the device through the Fengke iOS system repair tool : open the software (need to be updated to the latest version), and connect the iOS device to the computer. Select [Standard Mode] or [Advanced Mode] on the home page, and then select the firmware version to download. After the download is complete, click "Repair Now" and wait patiently for the flashing to complete.
