Zhang Jinying: Hydrogen energy can be used in all places where energy is needed, including scenarios where electric energy, mechanical energy or natural gas are used, but there are two prerequisites for it to be used in large quantities: high safety performance and low cost. The problem to be solved at present is the safety performance of gray hydrogen during storage and transportation and the cost of storage and transportation. If these two problems can be solved, then hydrogen energy will be likely to be used in large quantities.

Zhi Linjie: Hydrogen energy can be used in a very wide range. In theory, hydrogen energy can be used wherever energy is needed. However, hydrogen energy has not yet entered the stage of large-scale use. Convenience and safety are the prerequisites for the large-scale use of hydrogen energy in the future, and relevant research should be carried out around this issue now.

Yang Chuang: Hydrogen energy is one of the important directions for the development of green energy, and it is also a direction supported by the state. At present, the safety of hydrogen energy use and storage and transportation are the most important factors restricting it. Hydrogen energy has not yet been used on a large scale, and solving the problems of hydrogen energy safety and ease of use will play a key role in the development of hydrogen energy.

Why should we vigorously develop energy storage technology and industry? What are the advantages and disadvantages of electrochemical energy storage? What is the relationship between energy storage and AI?

Zhi Linjie: Energy storage is an important industry that is vigorously promoted in China at present, and the development of energy storage technology is closely related to the country's new energy strategy. Common energy sources such as wind energy and solar energy are indirect rather than continuous, while the power grid requires stable input and output, and energy storage power stations can better resolve this contradiction. The immaturity of early energy storage technology led to the emergence of a large number of new energy curtailment, and the use of large-scale energy storage technology can significantly improve the stability and management level of the power grid, which is an important means to realize the large-scale application of new energy. Among the fast energy storage methods for new energy sources, electrochemical energy storage is currently the most commonly used fast energy storage method, but its cost is still high, and further cost reduction is needed. Energy storage technology can also be widely used in the field of AI, such as immobilized scenarios such as emergency reserve power supplies and mobile scenarios such as UAV energy storage.

Zhang Jinying: When the energy output does not match the consumption, energy storage technology is necessary.
