The aluminum industry is a highly energy-intensive industry, mainly including aluminum ore mining, alumina production, electrolytic aluminum production and aluminum processing. Since 2001, my country's primary aluminum production has ranked first in the world, accounting for more than 50% of the world's output for seven consecutive years. However, compared with international advanced aluminum production enterprises, the carbon emission intensity of primary aluminum per unit of my country's aluminum production enterprises is three times that of the European Union's aluminum emission intensity, and 1.11 times the global average emission intensity, which will lead to higher energy costs of my country's aluminum production enterprises than other countries advanced enterprise. With the acceleration of China's "double carbon" process, low-carbon and green development has become popular, and the green aluminum industry will be the general trend in the future.
The 2023 China Green Aluminum Industry International Summit will focus on the development of the aluminum industry under the "dual carbon" goal, combine best cases and practice sharing, discuss the development path and latest technologies of the green aluminum industry, and strive to create a green and sustainable aluminum industry , to help China achieve the goal of "carbon neutrality".
