Open FTP server in LAN to share or transfer files

Open FTP service tutorial (taking Windows 10 as an example)

Step 1: Turn off the firewall-Settings-Network and Internet-Ethernet-Click Network and Sharing Center-Windows Defender Firewall-Allow applications or functions through Windows Defender Firewall-Click Change Settings-Open FTP server-OK Step 2: Click Enable or



Close Windows Defender Firewall - All Off

Step 3: Settings - Search Programs and Features - Click to enable or disable Windows features - Find IIS (check everything that is not ticked) - Click OK - Remember to close the firewall in the system after confirmation Step 4: Click the Windows logo - in the


search Enter IIS in the field - if this icon appears, it means that the FTP service has been opened

Step 5: Open IIS - Right click under the website - Add FTP site


Step 6: Enter the name you want to set and the path of the shared file - click

Next Seven: As shown in the picture (choose no SSL) - Next

step Step 8: As shown in the picture - click Finish

Step 9: Click to start the set FTP site

Step 10: Test whether ftp is effective - open this computer - enter the ip address you opened the FTP service - Press Enter - If the file you share can appear, it means that the FTP service has been successfully set up
