How to Upload Files Using FTP (FTP File Transfer)

Upload files using FTP

Using FTP and cloud server for file transfer first requires the cloud server to configure the FTP environment, you can use:

1. Explorer

2. Third-party software

File transfer with server

When transferring files with the server, first ensure that the server security group has opened port 21 (the inbound rule is TCP21)

1. File transfer via resource manager

Open the resource manager that comes with your computer. Enter ftp://host IP above

Enter the user name and password to complete the connection after verification

If an error window pops up during the connection process, open the control panel through "Start" - "Control Panel"

Find "Network and Internet" and click

Click on Internet Options

In the pop-up window, find Advanced and click, uncheck "Use Passive FTP" in the check box of the settings, click "Apply" and then "OK"

Then try again to connect successfully

2. Use third-party software for file transfer

Here we take CuteFTP 9.0 as an example to demonstrate. First, download CuteFTP. After the download and installation is complete, open the software and go to "File" - "New" - "FTP Site" to make some settings in the pop-up window: (1) In "General" Enter the corresponding information, and the login method is "Normal" (2) In the "Type", select the data connection type as "Use PORT", and the port is 21 (if you accidentally close it, you can also find the cloud to be changed in the "Site Manager" Right click on the server - "Properties" to reopen)

Click the connection to connect successfully, the left side is the local file, the right side is the server file, drag the mouse (or right-upload/download) to complete the upload and download
