First, the purpose
As shown in the figure below, we often encounter multiple content displayed in the same picture when drawing. Today, I will explain how to draw this type of chart. The tool used is origin.
2. Drawing steps
1. Sample data
Take the data of "2015-2022 China Tunnel Construction Market Scale Statistics and Forecast" as an example. Display histogram and line graph separately in the same layer.

2. Input data
Open origin, enter data, as shown in the figure, you need to distinguish the X and Y axes, set the year as the X axis, and set the market size and year-on-year growth as the Y axis.
3. Draw the first layer
Select the first two columns, and select Labeled Column Chart under the Draw menu.
The result is shown in the figure below.
Change the axis labels, set the x-axis to year, and the y-axis to market size
4. Draw the second layer
Right-click the mouse in the blank space in the figure to pop up the following menu, click New Layer (Axis) , select Right-Y Axis (the scale and size associated with the X-axis) , here you can choose according to your needs, the second layer we draw The same X-axis as the first layer (both years are used), so select this option. This way we create a second layer.
The first box in the figure represents different layers, click this button to switch between different layers, we click 2 (select the second layer). Right-click 2 to pop up the following menu, and then click Chart Drawing to draw.
The following interface pops up, the position 3 in the picture just opened is gray, and the content is not displayed. At this time, click the + sign in Figure 1 to pop up the content in Figure 2, and then double-click the content in Figure 2 to pop up the content in Figure 3.
Click the position in Figure 1 (representing that the layer is selected), then click the line chart (position in Figure 2), and set the data to be displayed on the X and axis (position in Figure 3), A is the year set as the X axis, and C is the year-on-year growth Set to Y axis. Click Add, then click OK.
The result is shown in the figure below. Found a problem, the 2015s are missing, this is due to the lack of 2015 data in the year-on-year growth. But we want to show what to do with the 2015 year.
Right-click the X-axis data label (position in Figure 1) to pop up the following menu, click the scale, and change the data in Figure 2 to 2014.5.
The result is shown in the image below, where the label of the side Y axis is changed.
3. Chart beautification
1. Font settings
Set the font of the chart data axis, label, and data in the chart according to your own needs. Here we set the numbers as New Roman, and the Chinese characters keep the original settings.
The result is as follows.
2. Beautification of lines
Right-click on the selected discount, select Drawing Details, set the lines, and you can set them yourself according to your needs.
3. Update the title and legend
**Legend: **Careful researchers may find that the above figure only has a legend of market size, lacking year-on-year growth. Click the corresponding layer, click the reconstruction legend in the figure, and it will appear. Adjust the corresponding position, here we drag and drop it below the X axis.
Picture name: Click T in the picture, enter the content, and drag it to the corresponding position.
4. Final result
The final figure is as follows. Of course, this is just to explain the drawing steps (the drawing is not beautiful), and the color, size, and lines in the figure can be set by yourself.
