Digital technology is for digital business

(1) Business requirements

There are three hot spots that I've been clichéd about in the past:

  • Integration of offline and online

  • International and domestic integration: The globalization of Chinese companies is not like Europe and the United States, but China, as the most developed Internet and e-commerce country in the world, globalizes through cross-border e-commerce.

  • Sales-supply-production industry chain integration speed linkage

However, none of these three hot spots has happened in the past ten years. Hey hey. Even under the background of three years of domestic epidemic prevention and control that prevent large-scale domestic offline movement, these three hot spots that I predicted still did not happen.

Because none of the above happened, the technical support I will talk about below is all derived from my obsession, so you don’t need to read any further. Hey hey.

(2) Technical support

Because going online requires mobile-light applications-connecting consumers-online order transactions-online financial payment, so public cloud technology and cloud-native high-elasticity scaling technology are necessary.

Because it is necessary to transform the offline technology into the same essence as the online one, it will inevitably require intelligent hardware automation technology, IoT technology and AI visual recognition technology.

Because of international and domestic integration, it is necessary to unify the management technology of cross-country public cloud and international public cloud.

Because the sales-supply-production industry chain needs to be integrated and linked at a high speed, it is necessary to need social collaboration tools.

If the sales-supply-production industry chain is not a long-term close strategic cooperative relationship, but a socialized resource-one meeting, then blockchain technology is even needed to support fast zero-trust transaction guarantees.

If one really adopts open social resources-one-single meeting, then it must be massive and high-frequency transactions, and it will inevitably require industry master data services, big data storage and computing technology, machine learning, deep learning, intelligent prediction technology and scheduling technology .

If you don't do business like this, then you don't need all these supporting technologies.

(3) Technical support (continued)

Because offline and online integration, international and domestic integration, and sales, supply, and production integration are required, how can this integration be achieved? Therefore, a shared and unified middle platform is bound to be needed.

This is what I used to call the business center: unified order center, unified marketing strategy center, unified inventory center, and unified settlement center.

This is what I used to call the application platform: electronic contracts, electronic files, electronic invoices, bank-enterprise associations, and tax-enterprise associations.

If you don't need those three integrations, you don't need these business mid-platforms and application mid-platforms.

(4) Technical support (continued)

Just now we talked about the rapid linkage of sales, supply and production industry chains - opening up socialized resources, which inevitably requires an open - integrated platform for unified standard access to resources, which requires an open - integrated platform.

Moreover, these open social resources have different needs, so a no-code, low-code light application platform + application store is needed to meet these social resources with different sources and different needs.

(5) Technical support (continued)

China is now, from the central government, vigorously promoting data security-network security-communication security-self-controllable-localization substitution. As a Chinese company on this land, it is inevitable, so it must be adapted to localized technologies (such as chips, operating systems, databases, middleware, and document software).

However, this logic is not in the same logic as all the above logics, so I separate it out and put it at the end.
