in 2022 NFT avatars were all the rage last year. As an easy plug-and-play method, anyone can load features (body, head, background, etc.) into the app to quickly mix and match NFT creation, so it has become easier than ever to make avatar .
Considering that this year's NFT craze reached nearly $1 billion in sales in about six months, developers everywhere are trying to follow in NFT's footsteps. However, while most NFTs come and go, many seem to be inspired by boring writers.
With so many creative collections on the NFT market, I compiled a list of the most prominent and well-known NFT avatars that have stood the test of time.
cypherpunk
Whether you're an NFT novice or an experienced collector, the cypherpunk collection of 10,000 unique NFTs is arguably the most influential collection of avatars ever created.
Launched by product studio Larva Labs in June 2017, these punks are one of the first NFTs ever minted. Featuring humans, apes, zombies, and aliens, CryptoPunks pioneered the idea of generative trait combinations from which most other NFTs still draw inspiration today.
Boring Ape Yacht Club

The toad was conceived by the now-famous anonymous artist when the market was saturated with NFT creations and punk spinoffs.
Since its launch in September 2021, sales of the amphibious collection have continued to show solid momentum. In addition to being one of the most influential NFT works of the year, it has also received accolades from some of the most prominent NFT collectors and investors around.

Woody is an NFT project that fully embodies the spirit of collaboration. Featuring 10,000 NFTs, this collection started as a community effort and a labor of love.
