Use serial port redirection to install the linux operating system for the server

The configuration and other options during the installation process are completed through the serial port without the aid of a graphics card. The whole process is summarized as follows, the method is very simple. Redhat 7.4 and kylinOS operating systems are used on Xinchuang x86 devices, and the serial port tool is secureCRT.

First enter the Bios to redirect the serial port to open, and select boot management to enter the startup interface of the installation disk

Then in the first item on the startup interface (the first line should be to install red hat, the second line is to test and then install red hat, etc.), press e to enter the command line interface.

Delete the quiet on the second line, and then add text console=tty0 console=ttyS0,115200 here

Press citl+x after completion, then the console will be redirected to the serial port, wait for one end to come out, the interface as shown in the figure below

This interface is actually the normal installation interface of red hat. Select the corresponding number to enter the corresponding setting column for setting. For example, select 2 and press Enter, and the following figure will appear
