Firefox Team Gives Cake to Microsoft Edge to Commemorate IE Retirement

The Microsoft Edge browser development team posted the " IE Retirement Memorial" cake presented by Firefox , and said that they liked the tradition of giving cakes to each other at milestone moments.

The text on the cake is "You Were The IE6ing On The Cake", and the top is a huge blue IE logo. Some people interpret this sentence as: By borrowing an English slang term - "Icing on the cake" (translation into Chinese is the icing on the cake), the implication is to commemorate the important position of IE in the browser field.

Browser development teams giving each other cakes is a tradition that goes back nearly a decade. Microsoft gave the Firefox team a cake with the release of Firefox 2.0 in 2006, and this practice has continued in most new major versions of Firefox, although those cakes ended up turning into cups as the browser's release cycle accelerated cake.

After the arrival of Internet Explorer 10 in 2012, Mozilla also gave a cake to Microsoft, and then the Google Chrome team also began to join the ranks of giving cake to friends.
