Install TeamViewer on Windows Server

If TeamViewer is installed on a Windows Server server, "Personal/Non-Commercial Use" is not allowed, and "Business Users Only" can use TeamViewer on server operations. That is to say: if it is installed on a server operating system such as Windows 2003 Server, it is a business user.

    To install according to "Personal/Non-Commercial Use" on the server operating system, you need to do the following settings: Right-click before installing TeamViewer, and select Windows XP in Compatibility. After setting, double-click to install to select "personal/non-commercial use" installation.
    If TeamViewer has been installed on a server operating system such as Windows 2003 Server, after the 7-day trial period expires, even if TeamViewer is uninstalled and installed again, it cannot be used. This is because TeamViewer automatically generates a fixed ID based on the computer's MAC address and saves it on the TeamViewer cloud server. This ID is the same for multiple installations of TeamViewer on the same computer. After the trial period ends, expired information is saved on the cloud server, so even after reinstalling TeamViewer, or even after reinstalling the operating system, the software will still use the same ID to check online (reinstalling a different system seems to work: I The original server2003 system was used, but after changing to server2008, the id changed and it can be used again!).     Also, the server side of teamviewer is abroad, so the comrades who can't access the Internet in China should pay attention. The id is not displayed, only the password is displayed. This is the reason.

    To break through this limitation, it is actually very simple: just modify the MAC address of the machine. In the properties of the network connection, click "General/Configuration", in the Advanced tab, set the "Locally Administered Address" or "network address" value. After modifying the MAC address, install the above installation method in this article.

How to modify TeamViewer ID:

1. Start > Run, enter %appdata%, and delete the TeamViewer folder;

2. Start > Run, enter regedit;

    Delete TeamViewer under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\;

    Delete TeamViewer under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\;

3. Start > Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager > Right-click on the network adapter > Properties > Advanced > Network Address; enter a random 12-digit number in the Value field.
