How to install iis on Windows server 2003? Windows server 2003 installation IIS tutorial

Windows 2008 system server has been shared before installing IIS, which is completely different from Windows 2003. Today, Fangfang will share with you the steps of uninstalling and installing IIS on Windows server 2003 in detail, hoping to help you~

1. First, enter the server, and make sure whether the server has IIS installed. If IIS is installed and needs to be reinstalled, you can uninstall IIS first.

2. Uninstallation is simpler than installation, click Start - Settings - Control Panel

3. Double-click [Add or Remove Programs], click [Add/Remove Windows Components]

4. In the component wizard, find [Application Server] and double-click to open it. You can see that [Internet Information Services (IIS)] is checked. If you uncheck it, a pop-up window will prompt whether you can delete the component. Click [Yes].

 5. After clicking [Yes], you can see that the ticks before [IIS] and [Application Server Console] have been cancelled, click [OK] [Next]

6. After clicking Next, you can see that the Internet Information Service is being deleted, just wait for the completion.

At this point, the uninstallation of IIS on Windows server 2003 is complete. We go back to the desktop and reopen IIS to see that the shortcut is no longer working properly.

Installing IIS on Windows server 2003 is a little more troublesome, and requires a file i386, I will share the package with you

I386 download address

After downloading, extract it to the C drive or the D drive, and prepare to install IIS.

 1. Click Start - Settings - Control Panel

2. Double-click [Add or Remove Programs], click [Add/Remove Windows Components], and you will see the Component Wizard after a while

3. In the component wizard, find [Application Server] and double-click to open it, check [Internet Information Services (IIS)] and [Application Server Console], do not be so quick to confirm after checking

4. Double-click Internet Information Services (IIS), pay attention to check Internet Information Service Manager, World Wide Web Services and File Transfer Protocol (FTP) services. (File transfer protocol (FTP) service can be checked or not checked, if you want to use this service, please check it), after checking it, don't worry about confirming it.

5. Double-click World Wide Web Services, check Active Server Pages, Internet Data Connector, WebDAV Publishing, World Wide Web Services, and include files on the server side. The check boxes here have been checked, and you can click [OK] one by one.

6. Click [Next] to configure the components. During this period, it will prompt that some files are needed. We only need to select the file source to the i386 folder that was decompressed at the beginning, and click OK.

 7. During the configuration, the required file prompts will be displayed several times, which is the same as the above steps, just wait for the installation to complete.

At this point, the installation of IIS on Windows server 2003 is complete. The newly installed program will not be displayed on the desktop, and can be opened in Start-Program-Management Tools-Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.
