How to double your income tenfold

3W hours of learning programming

I am a very hardworking child, since childhood.
The only thing my family asks of me is to study.
I was in a children's school and had access to computers relatively early. At that time I learned Wubi, CCED and WPS. WPS has a universal password: hold down the Ctrl key + Qiu Bojun's full spell. I use it to find all the love letters I can find on my school computer. This is the first time I have felt the dividends of information asymmetry.
Later I also wrote a program. The password is: Ctrl + Jiang Zhihui.

Programming this skill requires a lot of deliberate practice with real guns.
There is a law of genius, you can become an expert only after you have immersed in a field for about 1W hours. I'm a bit stupid and used 3W hours.
I'm guessing it's because of those traditional learning patterns that took me a lot of detours. I've been trying to understand who wrote "Cinderella"? Which country and dynasty? From Grimm or Hans Christian Andersen? (Please search for the differences in education between Chinese and American teachers when they talk about "Cinderella")
Progress is very slow. I was a little discouraged at first, and it took me a long time to get out of this tangle.

  hindsight
The 1W hour rule is based on skillful, deliberate practice.
A master has been renting for 5 years, is his driving skills very good? A programmer has been writing code for 5 years, is his technology superb? Not really.
The practice of programming basic skills is the same as the practice of martial arts boxing. Through a set of effective "boxing methods", the basic skills are built into it, and repeated practice makes the development skills a part of the finger memory. In this way, when faced with actual development, we don't need to worry about basic skills and spend more time thinking about business logic.

At the same time practice requires methods.
10,000 hours of practice in this skill of CRUD does not make you a master. You need a body of knowledge, and then split this body of knowledge into several small nodes, and practice a lot of deliberate repetition for each node. (About this part, you can reply to jQlite in my personal public account "Jiang Hushuo" to see how I designed Kata exercises for JS)
Set up a set of standards and an instant feedback mechanism to facilitate continuous adjustment and improvement. Establish connections between each node and nodes to form a systematic knowledge network. This kind of practice is deliberate.
This seems to be a good thing now, as it allowed me to slowly move from traditional exam-oriented learning to practical learning.
This transition guided me to take classes at Peking University for two years, learning everything I wanted to learn, from philosophy to business administration. There are some of the best learning resources in the country. You can straddle a variety of subjects, choose what to study, no exams or tuition fees. Just don't have a diploma.

  do what you like
I don't need a diploma. I am the best proof there. The change brought about by this kind of thinking made me start to explore all kinds of possibilities. At first I fell in love with graffiti. Just simply love. When you do what you love, the field around you changes. This may be the "law of attraction". I met a lot of people at the time...and then we formed VTC together.

I find that a lot of industries are actually driven by some layman. Because they have some enthusiasm in their own practitioners that they do not have. Doodles have helped me a lot in my work. I'm not a professional painter and can't figure out shadows and perspective. This is great, it pushes me to express the complexity behind it with the simplest lines.
I don't have PPT for my classes and I don't need to take notes. Some people sit around casually and communicate freely and simply. This approach made me very popular, and the course pay went up. One person, one story is a form of drama that I like very much.

There I learned to listen to everyone's stories and to feel their lives with my heart. Then present it with a performance. All presentation and feedback is immediate, in the moment. Thankfully, before learning about those so-called product methodologies, I knew one person, one story.
Products serve people, and no method can be separated from the understanding of human nature.

What technology is used is important, but more importantly what problem is solved for the user. Insight, Empathy, Scenario, Awareness, Germination, Action, Feedback. That's how to make a product. It's also a way to form a team.

Around the end of 2003, I formed a software development team. My character also started erratic. It is a programmer, a manager, and an architect. I read a lot of books, from technology to management, from CMMI to agile. Guidance has helped me a lot.
Contact guide because of a very accidental opportunity. Of course it is inevitable. Changes in consciousness affect the field around you. In turn, the surrounding field will also act on you. Not doing a proper job has allowed me to meet many friends outside the original field. I acted on them, and they acted on me.
