1. Stop the update service
1. Open the "Control Panel", change the View by to Large Icons, and then click "Administrative Tools".
2. Open "Services" in "Administrative Tools".
3. Right-click on the Windows Update service, and then click Stop.
2. Delete temporary files
1. Go to the C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution directory.
2. Open the DataStore folder and delete all files and folders in it.
3. If prompted that administrator privileges are required, click "Continue".
4. Go back to the upper-level directory, open the Download directory, and delete all files in it. Again, if administrator privileges are required, click Continue.
3. Restart the update service
1. Follow the first step, find the "Windows Update" service, right-click and select "Start".
2. Close all open windows, and then reinstall the windows updates that were previously unavailable. At this point, it can be installed smoothly.
