The basic feature of cloud computing is that cloud services can be used from any device in any place through the network, and the essence of cloud services is actually a computing problem and a storage problem.



I said in an article before that cloud computing is still in the "primary stage of socialism". For example, the current virtual machine solution has to be said that this is a transitional solution.



Because virtual machines still have a strong shadow of physical machines, their availability is also affected by physical machines. This is why ECS has only 99.95% availability. Compared with high-availability applications, 99.95% is actually a very low availability. There is only one way to solve such problems, use multiple ECSs, and set up a load balancing SLB in front to improve the availability of the entire system through multiple machines.



However, if cloud computing wants to be a good infrastructure, it must be available at any time and on demand, similar to the current electricity.



Simple example, I don't want to build a power station (private cloud), and I don't want to give me a virtual generator set in a big power plant for me to use (virtual machine, ECS). When virtualizing a genset for my use, I have to be influenced by the availability of the genset.
